how to view PNG and other formats on Picasa

A very good question came from Wendy: I use Picasa too, but I noticed you are able to have the elements on yours...all I ever get is the papers.

To view other formats (such as PNG files) go to Tools, then Options. This box will appear:

 Check all formats that you would like to view in Picasa and those will begin to appear. It's like magic!

Another important tip, Picasa will initially only scan all of your picture files once. To have it continue to scan folders that you will put additional kits or pictures in, follow these steps.

By choosing Add Folder, you will then be given to option to

Scan Once

Remove from Picasa

Scan Always (I select this for all folders that I add to over and over).
